After Noah loaded up the ark, just as he was told, and went inside himself with his family, God did something: he shut them in (7.16). There they were, in a relatively small darkish place, not knowing what was going on outside, but having to shovel a lot of poop in the inside. This was not a punishment. In fact, it led to their salvation. This happens, my friend, to us today.

Last year at about this time, Father asked me to do something that was a little uneasy at the time. So I made sure that it was in-fact He that was asking, and that it was in fact His direction for me. Then I asked Him to strengthen and help me, and to calm my fears. What He did for me was exactly what I needed to carry out His direction.

We have been so blessed and helped in our lives because we have learned how the Bible interprets itself. We know that the Scripture interprets itself in the verse, or in the context, or where it has been used before and lots more. I wrote a book that came from a class that I taught titled “How to Read the Bible for Understanding and Power” (which may be purchased from The Brown Bible Book Store). Reading through the Bible . . . A Study Help

Reading through the Bible built up my confidence in God and enlightened my understanding of the overall scope of the Word from Genesis 1:1 through Revelations 22:21. After I’d finished, the joy of accomplishment was overshadowed by seeing the Word fit together from cover to cover. I also developed a deeper reverence for God and a clearer understanding for the manner in which each character played a part in the unfolding of the story of God’s love to and for man.
